Actor. He was born in Vincennes, Indiana and grew up in Terre Haute, Indiana where he studied drama at Indiana State Teacher's College. After serving in the United States Marines ,having fought at the Battle of Iwo Jima, he moved to California to begin his acting career. He acquired roles in several films including, "Gentleman Prefer Blondes," "War of the Worlds" and "The Wackiest Ship in the Army." His most famous role however, was on the television show "Green Acres" where he played Hank Kimball, the County Agent. He died of heart failure in Palm Desert, California.
