Age 77, a resident of Grand Bay, AL passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2016.

Funeral service will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at 2 pm with visitation from 12 noon until service time. Interment will be in Oddfellow Cemetery.

Mr. Tillman was a resident of Coden, AL for many years. He retired from International Paper Company Moss Point, MS. He endured a lot of painful losses in his life, beginning with his parents death on the same day in 1967. He then lost a son in 1986, his wife of 25 years in 1990 and his other son in 2004. He had a rough road to travel and he wasn't a perfect man, but he had a good heart and was loved by many.

He is preceded in death by his wife Frieda Graham Tillman, sons Van Tillman and Bryan Tillman, his parents Van Buren Tillman, Sr and Audrey Etta Tillman, two sisters Gwendolyn Darlene Tillman and Maxine Nielson, two brothers Clifford O'Neal Tillman and Van Buren Tillman, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter Christie Tillman Wescovich (Darryl), one granddaughter Brandi Marie Wescovich, two grandsons Jared Andrew Nelson and Jonathan Darryl Wescovich, his caregiver and special friend Stellie McKee, three sisters Marie Miller, Anna Jean Tillman, Annie Mae Alexander, three brothers Adrian (Peter John), Dewitt (Charlotte) Tillman, George Tillman (Marcia Branning), many nieces and nephews as well as family and friends.

Pallbearers are Jared Nelson, Brad Morgan, Joe Ray Bennett, Joey Tillman, Kenny Tillman, and Greg Alexander. Honorary pallbearers are Jonathan Wescovich, Darryl Wescovich, Joe Bennett, George Tillman, Dewitt Tillman, and all of his nephews.
