Mrs. G.O. Deviese Died at Home of Granddaughter Late Sunday; Funeral Wednesday
Complications following an attack of infuenza resulted in the death of Mrs. G.O. Deviese, 77, at her home, 227 East Charles street, at 10:45 last night.
Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist Church here, of which she was a member, at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon following brief services at the home at 1:30. Services will be in charge of Rev. Robert Hughes, pastor of the church and Henderson & Lutz local undertakers.
Mrs. Deviese was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Starner and was born in Tod township in May, 1852. She was married to Mr Davieses in December 1972 and is survived bh three brothers, John and Ed Starner of Nevada, and Luellean Starner of Mr. Zion. One granddaughter, Mrs. Stacia Gearing, with whom the deceased made her home, also survives. She was preceeded in death by seven brothers and one sister.
