AREFORD - The angel of death suddenly visited the home of Calvin Areford, near Khedive, on the evening of December 27, and called his aged mother to her heavenly reward. Mrs. Areford professed faith in Christ in 1860 and united with the Muddy Creek C P church. She was a devoted mother, a kind inoffensive and considerate neighbor. Like a ripened sheaf she was garnered in glory, for she had reached the well rounded years of eighty-five, nine months and twenty-seven days. Mrs. Areford was an exemplary christian. Her faith was such as take fast hold of the throne of God. Five sons and their families with many friends are left to mourn her loss. The funeral services were conducted at the Muddy Creek C P church by Rev A T Carr. Interment in the Muddy Creek cemetery.
