Daniel Areford, a well known and highly respected citizen, died at his home in Khedive, Thursday morning, October 1, aged 65 years, after a two weeks' illness of kidney trouble. Mr. Areford was a member of the Muddy Creek Presbyterian church. Besides his wife he is survived by the following children: John and Ernest Areford, Mrs. Lottie Curtin and Mrs. Thomas Areford of Khedive; Ewing and Miss Maud Areford at home; Mrs. Levi Craft of Rices Landing and Mrs. Cap Nichols of Jefferson. Four brothers also survive, Calvin and Milton Areford of Khedive William and George Areford of Carmichaels. The funeral services were held Saturday at 10 am, conducted by the Rev A T Carr. Interment in the Middy Creek cemetery.
