Matthew "Matt" Barnett, 18, of New Market, passed away Sunday.
He was a 2016 graduate of Buckhorn High School and was currently a student at Washtnenaw Community College. He was an avid outdoorsman and was employed at International Fire Protection.
He was preceded in death by grandfather, Charlie Schrimsher, great grandparents, Papa Barnett and Paw Heatherly.
Surviving are parents, Thad & Amanda Barnett, brother, Austen Barnett, grandparents, Mike & Mary Mitchell and Bud & Theresa Barnett, aunts & uncles, BJ & Laura Barnett, Buddy & Candy Schrimsher, and several cousins.
Visitation will be Wednesday 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday at 1:00 pm.
Interment will be in the Bush Cemetery.
