In 1930 he and his parents and four siblings (he was not listed in the census, but surely he just got missed...) lived on a farm in Justice Precinct 3, Concho County, TX. They did not have a radio.

In 1940 he and his parents and seven siblings lived on a stock farm they were renting for ten dollars a month in Justice Precinct 8, McCulloch County, TX.

Dewey Fleet Bingham Jr., 85, died Monday, Feb. 15, 2010 surrounded by his loved ones in the comfort of his home. Service is at 2 p.m. Thursday in Eden Funeral Home chapel with burial in Eden Cemetery. He was a WWII veteran who also earned a purple heart and a bronze medal for his bravery and sacrifice. After the war he settled down in Eden, Texas with the love of his life Myrtie Bingham where they had three children. He was a hard working farmer and provider for his family. He never met a stranger and could talk your ear off with his amazing stories.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtie Bingham of Eden; daughters Koneta Garcia and Ruby Carlin, both of Eden; son Dewey Bingham III of Eden; his four grandchildren; Julio Garcia, Jr, Colton Garcia both from Eden, Lindsay Nunez and Brittany Nunez also from Eden; brothers Kenneth Bingham of Levelland and Gene Bingham of San Angelo; and sister Lillie Ann Reel of San Angelo.
