Mrs. Mary Sue McLaurin, 96, of Corsicana passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 at Navarro Regional Hospital. She was born on May 9, 1920 in Richland, Texas to Earnest Singleton Allen and Sue Bell Blood Allen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Hill McLaurin, Jr. and her parents and her sister, Joy Suttle of Houston, Texas.
She is survived by her sons, Larry McLaurin of Corsicana and Allen Wayne McLaurin of Tempe, Arizona: brothers; Jehu “Jake” Allen and wife, Naomi of Corsicana, and Thomas Russell Allen of Richland; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary worked as a registered nurse at Navarro Regional Hospital for fifty years before she retired. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church in Corsicana for many years.
Visitation with the family will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Corley Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Richland Cemetery in Richland, Texas with Rev. Kevin Diggs officiating. Interment will follow in Richland Cemetery.
