Famed Newspaper Columnist. Known by her pen name Suzy Knickerbocker, she was a popular gossip columinst during her fifty year journalistic career. She started her career in journalism with the newspaper Miami Daily News and continued with them until 1957 when she moved to New York. She worked for the New York Daily Mirror until 1963 when the newspaper ceased publishing. She then took over Igor Cassini's column in the New York Journal-American and started writing it under the pen name Suzy Knickerbocker (she had written under the pen name Suzy during her previous stints). Her columns were featured in the newspaper until it closed operations. She later worked for the Daily News and then the New York Post. From 1991 to her retirement in 2005, she wrote for Women's Wear Daily and W magazine. Her column was syndicated to 100 newspapers and read by over thirty million people through the years. During the mid 1960s, she made frequent appearances as a guest panelist on the game show "What's My Line?". In 1991 she received an honorary doctorate from Marymount Manhattan College.
