Mildred Doane Holland, 96, formerly of Kalmar Drive, Chesapeake passed away March 7, 2015 in Windsor VA. Mildred was born in Beaufort, NC to the late, Leon and Myra Tatem Doane and was the loving wife of the late, Edwin L. Holland. She was a member of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church, Suffolk.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Jean Anne Blanks and her husband, Jim; grandsons, Justin and Joshua Blanks; sister, Myra D. Barden; and three brothers, John A. "Jack" Doane, Leon M. "Skinny" Doane, Jr. and Luther Doane.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 11 to 12:00 noon at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A service to celebrate her life will begin at noon. Immediately following the service the family invites you to join them for a reception at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
