NIEDRINGHAUS
Elmer H. Niedringhaus, 88, a retired real estate broker, died at 8 a.m. today in the Madison County Nursing Home, where he had been a patient since March. Formerly of Granite City, he lived in the Collinsville area 16 years before his last illness. He sold real estate in Granite City and Troy. He was born Sept. 8, 1883, in St. Louis, a son of William H and Anna Becker Niedringhaus. His wife, the former Mabelle Hadfield, died in 1955. Survivors are sons William B. Niedringhaus and Elmer H. Niedringhaus Jr., and a daughter, Mrs Tom D (Betty) Studebaker, all of Collinsville; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends may call at the Herr Funeral Home in Collinsville after 7 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. J. D White will conduct the last rites at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery.
