Born in Anderson, SC on December 3, 1947, he was the son of the late Paul G. Scarborough and the late Lillie M. Bass Scarborough. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy and retired from Michelin as a mechanical engineer.
He is survived by his children, Johnny Lee Scarborough, Jr, of Iva, SC, Melissa Hofmeister and her husband J.C., of Pelzer, SC, and Jillian Scarborough, of Belton, SC; a sister, Ann Sutherland, of Anderson, SC; 13 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and his significant other, Pam Lollis, of Anderson, SC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Amos; three brothers, Lewis, Fred, and Doug Scarborough.
The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Sam Duncan officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
