Died: At her home on Star Street in El Dorado, Monday May 20, 1912, of Uremic poisoning, Mrs. Emma Sherman, aged 63 years, 1 month and 18 days. She was born in Bowling Green, Ind., April 2, 1849. Married Oliver Overholser in Sullivan, Ind., August 20, 1868. To them were born two children Edward Overholser, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Mrs. Queen Pirtle, Wichita. She and her husband separated and he now lives in Oklahoma City.

Later she married George Sherman in Schell City, Mo. Of her second family three survive. They are: Miss Nellie Sherman who is at home, Bernard Sherman, Kansas City, Mo.; Hubert Sherman, Green Castle, Ind.

With her husband and family she came to Kansas in 1884 and they located on a farm on Bird creek, four miles east of El Dorado. Six years ago she moved to El Dorado which has since been her home. Funeral will probably be held Sunday.
