Funeral of Mrs. Pirtle
The funeral of Mrs. Queen Pirtle was held this afternoon from the John Moran residence, 416 South Washington street, Rev. L.T. Faunders officiating. Messers Giles Atherton, M.L. Arnold, S.R. Clifford, Earl Brandon, V.A. Osborn and W.J. McCauley, were pall bearers. Interment was in the East cemetery. Miss Nell Sherman, a sister from Indianapolis, and a brother Berine Sherman, of Proctor, Col., were here to attend the funeral.
Mrs. Pirtle died in a hospital in Newton, where she had been taken three weeks ago for treatment. She had been a prominent resident here for a number of years and a large number of friends offer deepest sympathy to her daughter, Mrs. Hattie Moran.
