Holschbach, William Edward

William Edward Holschbach, age 84, entered eternal life Thursday, November 10, 2016, peacefully at his residence in Manitowoc.

William was born on May 28, 1932 to the late Peter and Emma (Vogel) Holschbach. He grew up on the family farm and early on learned an excellent work ethic which he passed on to his children. With the help of his family, he raised 2 children as a single dad. With the odds against him, he saw to it they had a good Christian education and grew up to become respectful, grateful and successful spouses, parents and grandparents. He married Jean Mushel in 1973. They enjoyed a little traveling, camping, and playing cards with friends. They also worked on craft projects and couldn't miss an opportunity to have a rummage sale. William was a "Mirro Hero" and worked there through the many transitions there until he retired in 1994.

William is survived by his daughter: Jerilyn (Orville) Rasmussen; a son: Neil (Debbie) Holschbach; a step-son: Kenneth (Barb) Mushel; grandchildren: Theresa (Marcus) Cotton, Scott (Becky) Rasmussen, Todd (Cara) Rasmussen, Jordan Holschbach and Alyssa Holschbach; step-grandchildren: Adam (Lucia) Mushel, Jenna Mushel and special friend Robert Teer, Justin (Lisa) Mushel and Mackenzie (Brian) Ellis; five great grandchildren and ten great step-grandchildren. He is further survived by three sisters and a brother-in-law: Jeanette Korinek, Ione Pankratz, Amy & Robert Kaufman; and a sister-in-law: Betty Holschbach. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter: Ann Marie Holscbach; his wife: Jean of 41 years; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Reiny & Jeanette Holscbach, Leo Holschbach; two brothers-in-law: Jim Korinek and Marvin Pankratz; and a step-son: Gary Mushel.
