MRS. NOR ISHAM
Mrs. Nora Isham, 35, died last night at a local hospital at 11:40 Saturday night after a long illness. Surviving her are three daughters, Mrs. Ella Kendrick, Miss Minnie Isham, and Miss Ruby Isham, of Columbus, and three sons, James Charlie, and J. C. Isham of Columbus. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the Striffler and Tippins funeral home. Rev. A. J. Cone officiating. Interment will be in Riverdale cemetery.
Nora Hunter is the daughter of John Terrell Hunter Sr ( 1835-1911).
She was the spouse of Walter Isham or Isom.
Her children were;
Ella M. (Isham) Kendrick Alford August 26 1911 - ?
Minnie Lee (Isham) Coulter Sept 13 1918 - Feb 19 1983
James Wilburn Isham Aug 6 1920 - Jul 23 1990
Charlie Thomas Isham Oct 5 1923 - May 4 2002
Ruby Louise Isham Jul 16 1926 - Feb 4 2006
J.C. Isham Abt April 1929 - May 21 1930.
Nora was admitted to the old Muscogee County TB Hospital on Feb 22 1930. She passed away from Pulmonary TB on May 17 1930.
Her infant son - J.C. Isham died on May 21 1930. He is buried in Riverdale Cemetery in a pauper's grave.
