BROWN. ALICE Butler, age 60 years, of 2219 Evans St., expired Monday, October 16, at her residence. Born in Omaha. Nebraska, she was a lifelong resident. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Elks Lodge, She was a lifetime member of St. John A.M.E. Church, cosmetologist and owner of Alyce's Lounge. She is survived by two nieces, Charlotte Trice and Dorothy Jenkins; six grand-nieces, Nora Lewis, Carol Jackson, Tina Kilgore, Joyce Gilchrist, all of Omaha, Neb., Barbara Allen. of Newark, N.J.. and Rosetta Moore, of St. Paul, Minn.; two grand-nephews, Larry Brooks, of Omaha. Neb., and Edward Hayes, of Augusta. Ga., and a host of other relatives. Funeral services were held Friday, October 20 at St. John A.M.E. Church. with Rev. Dorsey McCellough officiating.
