Son of William Agnew and Nancy Ophelia Hawthorn. Husband of Lila Sharpe.

Margaret Eleanor Cochran and Alfred Agnew were married at 6 PM on Dec 27, 1887 at the home of the bride's late grandfather, A J McKee. The marriage was performed by Rev William Jackson Pearson, pastor of the Little Mountain Church in Abbeville, SC.
