Lorraine Brooks, 85 of Connellsville died Tuesday November 22, 2016 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born April 17, 1931 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Carl N. Brooks and the late Lucy Snyder Brooks Terry. Lorraine was a life long resident of Connellsville. She was a graduate of the Western Pennsylvania School for the Blind. During her lifetime she conducted many children's music programs and gave lectures and talks on blindness and seeing eye dogs. During her recent residence at the Laurel Ridge Center she was past president of the Resident's Association and she played the keyboard and organ for many home functions. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Connellsville where she played the organ for services and functions throughout the years. She was also a member of the Goldenaires. Lorraine is survived by one brother, Eugene N. Brooks and his wife Donna of Connellsville; two nieces and two nephews and four great nephews and two great nieces. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by a brother Glenn D. Brooks and her stepfather Peter"Pete" Terry.. Friends will be received from 2-4, 6-8 P.M. Friday in the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville where services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Will Hough officiating.
