Mr. Edward C. May, 83, of Quaker Valley Road, Alum Bank, died Friday, November 25th, 2016 at Donahoe Manor.
Mr. May was born in Bedford on Wednesday, February 1, 1933, the son of the late Augustus and Pearl (Perrin) May.
On August 22, 1952, he married Barbara S. (Smith) May.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by Son- Robert E. husband of Margie (Stufft) May, New Paris; Daughter- B. Suzanne wife of Wayne Diehl, Schellsburg; Son- Jeffrey L. husband of Janice (Foor) May, Cessna; Son- Stephen W. husband of Janice (Brady) May, Alum Bank; Daughter- Angela R. wife of Tracy Shaffer, New Paris; Daughter- Annette J. Zimmerman, Bedford; Brother- Charles May, Bedford; Sister- Pearl Hammond, Bedford; Brother- Warren May, Bedford; Brother- John May, Bedford. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Addison Grandi, a brother, Tracy May, a half brother, Dr. Homer May and two step sisters, Lillian Snell and Susan Clapper.
Ed was a member of the Alum Bank United Methodist Church. He was employed as a mechanic and heavy equipment operator at New Enterprise Stone and Lime for 33 years. Ed was involved in the Pleasantville Little League, coaching for 17 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend and he will be greatly missed.
A funerall service will be held at Jack H. Geisel Funeral Home, Inc, Pleasantville at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 29th, 2016 with Rev. Kurt Knobel officiating.
Interement willbeheld at Pleasantville Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Pleasantville.
