Inscription
Abraham Parsons, husband of Emily Parsons Parsons (they were cousins) is buried in this plot A-07 P03: they are side by side. Emily's tombstone is beautifully preserved, but Abraham's has disintegrated.
I am not familiar with him being called Abe, but his great grandson, my grandfather was Abraham Robert Parsons, buried in King City, Monterey Co. CA; and he was called "Abe".
Jarred "Jerdie" Parsons, was Abraham and Emily's nephew; the son of Abraham's brother Washington Parsons. Jerdie's tiny child tombstone is in the Washington Parsons Plot A-07 P01 next door along with tiny tombstones for his sister and brother Abraham M and Nancy S Parsons
Tradition has it that Washington Parsons began the Gonzales Cemetery in order to bury three of his children lost to death [probably diphtheria] in 1876.
