Martha was a math teacher at Philadelphia Public Schools.
She was a wonderful person to visit. It was always a special event. The house was a neat multi-story place full of momentos and pretty little knick-knacks. In spite of all the breakables everywhere, young great nieces and nephews were welcome to come and play without hearing the usual "don't touch the..." or "watch out for the..." warnings which often accompanied such a decor. Aunt Martha went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She'd even hide treats for us to find.
