He was born August 2, 1939, to Woody and Maggie (Fort) Campbell in Bastrop County, Texas.
Woody was a painter/contractor for many years in the Elgin area. He was a Loving father and friend to many.
Woody was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Roy, Lester, Cleo, and Nunny Campbell, sisters, Myrtle Campbell and Juanita Hemphill. Survivors include his daughter, step-son, and sisters, Marie and Mary.
