Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 11th at McDonald Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born November 18, 1932 in Richmond County she was a daughter of the late Daniel and Lara McKay McDonald and wife of the late Horace Douglas Lampley. She was preceded in death by all of her siblings.
Mrs. Lampley worked at Ira’s Department Store, worked in the Administration office at the Richmond County Health Department, and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Pamela McDonald Allen, her nephew, Harold Wayne McDonald (Diane), Warren G. McDonald (Kaye), many other nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog and companion, Paisley.
The family will be receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Watson-King Funeral Home in Rockingham.
