Bertram "Bert" Edwards, age 83 of Crown Point, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016. Survived by son, Dr. Kevin (Dr. Maja Vito) Edwards; two grandsons, Benjamin and Grant Edwards; brother, Vernon (Rita) Edwards; sister, Mary (late Jack) Emmett; former wife, Joan Edwards; loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, Charles and Alice Edwards; brothers, Chuck and Robert Edwards. Bert attended Tolleston High School and was a graduate of Indiana University. He was a retired postal worker. Bert was a Army veteran of the Korean War with two Bronze Service Stars. He was an avid fisherman. Throughout his life, Bert was a beacon of kindness and decency. At rest Abraham Lincoln Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
