Mr. Bailey was born Nov. 5, 1939, in Sasakwa to Claude Carol Sr. and Mildred Alice (Britt) Bailey. He passed away at his home in Calumet at the age of 67 with his family by his side. Frank moved to Calumet in 1954 from Antlers. He married Dianna Faye Moore on July 29, 1962. Frank and Dianna lived in the OKC/ Moore area for seven years before moving back to Calumet in 1969, where they owned and operated Bailey Dozer Service. He later farmed and ranched and was known as the "cotton king." Frank worked for Canadian County District 3 from 1999 to May 1, 2006. He took great pride in maintaining the county's roads, and cherished the many friends he made along the way. Some of the joys of Frank's life were hunting, fishing and savoring a hot cup of coffee on his front porch with his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, along with his dogs, Sassy and Clipper. He looked forward to hosting the annual dove hunt. His hospitality was appreciated by many. Frank thought his grandkids were the best. Pappy will always be their hero. Frank faced his battle with courage and dignity, warming the hearts of all of those who cared for him.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Dianna Bailey of the home in Calumet; daughter, Danna Farley and husband, Erick of Calumet; son, Darrin Bailey and wife, Stephiny of Calumet; five grandchildren, DeLayna Farley, Cristina Farley, Coleman Farley, Kelsey Bailey and Kylie Bailey, all of Calumet; siblings, Bill Bailey and wife, Kathryn of Nashoba, Ronnie Bailey and wife, Gail of Chickasha, Linda Bailey of Chickasha, Melba Tags and Marie Tags and husband, Gary of Ana-darko; sister-in-law, Peggy Bailey of Anadarko; and Albert Bailey of Mountain View, Ark.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Mildred (Britt) Bailey, a son, Bryan Frank Bailey in 1970, three brothers and three sisters.
Frank's warm smile and friendly ways will be missed by all who knew him.
