Blacksburg. Mrs. Susan White Carroll, 87, widow of J. B. Carroll, died about 2:20 o'clock Thursday afternoon at the home of a son, Ben Carroll, on Blacksburg route 1.
A lifelong resident of Cherokee county, Mrs. Carroll was a member of the First Baptist Church of Grover, N. C.
Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the home of her son, Richard Carroll, on Chester street. The Rev. Coy R. Miller, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and the Rev. J. G. Brawley, pastor of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, officiated. Interment was in the Antioch cemetery with the Gordon-Harrison Mortuary in charge.
Mrs. Carroll is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Delia Belue, of Holly Hill, and Miss Annie Carroll, of Blacksburg; four sons, Richard, Joe, Jim and Ben Carroll, of Blacksburg; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
