BLACKSBURG-Joseph Floyd Carroll, 80. husband of Mrs Violet Brown Carroll, of 116 Pine Street died Thursday
at 10:45 p. m. in Cherokee County Memorial Hospital.
A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late John and Susan White Carroll, a member of Antioch
Baptist Church and Buffalo Lodge No. 202. AFM He was a retired Star Route contractor with the U. S. Mail
Service from Blacksburg-Charlotte via Rock Hill.
Services will he held Sunday at 2:30 p m at Antioch Baptist Church conducted by Revs. Paul Stephen Smith and Oliver C. Price with burial in Frederick Memorial Gardens in Gaffney.
Pallbearers will be Carl Neal, Clyde Tharpe, Leonard Jones, Grady E. Spratt, Ralph Day and Yates Hardin.
Family will receive friends Saturday night 7-9 at Gor don’s Funeral Home.
Body will be placed in the church Sunday at 2 p.m.
