Elmer E. Belknap, 89, of Roseville, died Sunday, March 14, 2004, in St. John Hospital, Detroit. He was born Aug. 29, 1914, in Detroit.


Mr. Belknap retired as a carpenter for Parke-Davis Co. A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of American Legion Post 386.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy J. (nee Pelletier); children, Eva M., Robert D. (Cathy) and Janice (Maurice) Van Torre; and grandchildren, Christopher, Nicole, Matthew, Jonathan and Ryan.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in Holy Innocents Catholic Church in Roseville, with the Rev. Robert Schuster officiating. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Township.
