JOHN AMEN DIES AGED SEVENTY-TWO
John Amen died at his home in Huntington Friday afternoon, aged seventy-two years. Funeral arrangements will not be completed until relatives in Logansport are heard from. Mr. Amen was born in Salina, O., February 19, 1844, to Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Amen. In 1872 he married Miss Mary Hangley, two children being born to the union. He was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic church. Surviving are the widow, one son, Charles Amen of Huntington, a brother, David, of Cass county, a sister, Mrs. Mary Coolman of Warsaw, two step-brothers, George, who lives in the west, and Anthony, in Logansport.
John Amen died at 575 Court street yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock after an illness of three years. The deceased was born February 19, 1844, in Celina, O. He married May Hangley in 1872, two children being born to the union. C. E. Amen is the only son living. One brother, David, Cass, and one sister, Mary Coolman of Warsaw, two stepbrothers, George and Anthony, and four step-sisters survive. Mr. Amen moved to Huntington county thirty years ago and is well known in the county. He was a member of St. Mary's church. No funeral arrangements have been made.

The remains of John Aman, who died last Friday at Huntington, Ind., arrived in the city this morning via the Fort Wayne & Northern Indiana Traction line and were taken to St. Vincent de Paul church, where the funeral was held, conducted by Father P. J. Crosson. Internment was made in Mt. St. Vincent.
