L.J. Hackney, Indiana High Court Ex-Justice, Is Dead.
Winter Park, Fla., Oct. 2 - Judge Leonard J. Hackney, 83 years old, a former Indiana Supreme court justice, died here tonight of a heart attack. Judge Hackney, who for twenty years served as general counsel for the Cleveland, Cincinnati, St. Louis and Chicago railroad, retired at the age of 70 and moved to Winter Park thirteen years ago. Judge Hackney is survived by his widow, now seriously ill at their home here, and two sons. R.J. Hackney of Memphis, Tenn., and R.B. Hackney of Plant City, Fla. Funeral services have bene set for Tuesday afternoon.
