The 1992-published Kirk Genealogy by Donald and Theresa Kirk indicates that Jane died sometime after 1890. The exact date was not known. At the time that they conducted their research, Jane's headstone was missing and only a footstone (with no dates) remained. Today, that footstone is also missing.
Local researcher Larry Boyd noticed there were about 50 stones outside the north-east fence (church side) in a random pile. A footstone with the inscription "J K" was among these loose abandoned markers. Was this Jane's footstone?
Jane's burial may be in plot #35 beside her husband Hugh Kirk (plot #36).
