Mrs. Gastineau had been a sales clerk for Reifer's, Wells-Yeager Best Co. and Loeb's Department Store. She attended First Reformed Church and enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Surviving are three sons, Clarence Gastineau, Donald Gastineau, both of Lafayette, and Jerrell Gastineau of Lihue, HI; two daughters, Alma (Mrs. Bill) Long of Monon and Betty Weaver of Lafayette; three sisters, Leila Steires of Lafayette, Gladys Mitchell of Florida, and Eula Stone of Jeffersontown, KY; 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. Preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters, and her parents.
