KING-Frank King, Sr., 74, of Hiawatha, Kans., died Monday morning, October 13, 1975, at the Hiawatha Community Hospital where he was admitted last Thursday following a heart attack. Born in Hiawatha on August 28, 1901, he had lived in the Brown County area all of his life. He farmed west of Hiawatha and operated the King Truck Line for many years. He also was a former owner of the Hiawatha Livestock Auction Company, and the Ford Dealership in Hiawatha. He was married to Irene Ward who died in January of 1964. Later he married Estella Kistner Swearingen who survives at the home. He is also survived by two sons, Ward King of rural Powhattan, Frank M. King, Jr., of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, S.A.; one daughter, Mrs. Eldon (Frances) Wood of Topeka; one sister, Mrs. Lillian Challis of Oxnard, Calif.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Trinity United Methodist Church of Hiawatha, where he was a member, at 10:30 o'clock Thursday morning with the Rev. Robert Jones officiating. Interment will be at the Hiawatha Cemetery.
