Funeral services held Sunday for Hilma Streety
Funeral services were held Sunday, March 27, at 2 p.m. from the Seydler-Hill Funeral Home for Mrs. Brice R. (Hilman) Streety, who died at 7:36 p.m. Friday, Elder Bill Whalen officiated at the services with burial in the Bundick cemetery near Smiley.
Serving as pallbearers were Philip Streety, James Streety, Sky Streety, Mike Watson, George Henry Christian, Larry Watson amd Mack Streety. In place of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Streety was born September 13, 1909, at Sample, Gonzales county, the daughter of Henry Julius and Martha Bertha Winkler Mutschler, natives of Germany. She married to Brice Reagan Streety on Aug. 3m 1927, and the family residence was on 1512 St. Peter Street. Her husband preceded her in death on October 4, 1983. She was a member of the Primtive Baptist church.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Jean) Watson of Baton Rouge, La., two sons Pete of Luling and Dick Streety of Austin; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Erna Baker of Luling, Mrs. Malinda Baker of Columbus, and one brother, Paul Mutschler of Sample.
