Brice was born in Birmingham, Ala., a son of Ruth Carlisle Brice of Dahlonega and the late Norvelle Brice.
He was reared in Paris and was president of his 1949 graduating class at Grove High School. He attended the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
Brice retired as a marketing assistant vice president after 32 years with BellSouth, formerly Southern Bell
