Gertrude Van Mulheym was probably born between 1630 and 1640.


Descendants of Aeltje Braconie. Nothing is yet known of her ancestry, and little of her after the baptism records of two of her children. She does not appear as a sponsor for any of her grandchildren with the possible exception of Cornelis Ver Hulst who was baptized on 3 Dec. 1681.

She married Willem Willemszen Bennet, son of Willem Adriaenszen and Maria Badie, at Reformed Dutch Church, New Amsterdam, on 9 April 1660.


She was a member of the New Amsterdam Dutch Reformed Church prior to her marriage in 1660. She joined the Brooklyn Reformed Dutch Church, with her husband, on 25 Dec. 1661, with a letter from the New Amsterdam Church.
