Reported age at time of death was 70 years (obit) or 71 years (burial record), so evidently born about 1815 or 1816. Died at residence on Sixteenth Street. Survived by two sons and four daughters (Miss Mary CRAWFORD and Miss Janie CRAWFORD, both of Columbus, and Mrs. HENDERSON and Mrs. HALES, both of Alabama).

Mary Jane Galer's list of persons interred in the New Cemetery area of Linwood shows: Elizabeth CRAWFORD died aged 71 years; buried 25 JAN 1886 in Section A, Lot 183 - Sexton Abraham ODOM. [Galer's source was the sexton's card file (an index). The card for this burial does show the burial date as 1-25-1886, but that's a transcription error. The original burial record in the sexton's ledger book shows the date as 25 JAN 1887; also mentions this individual was born in Georgia, died of paralysis, and was buried as a resident pauper (so probably died in Columbus).]

This grave is evidently not identifiably marked. Others reported to be in Section A, Lot 183, include: Mary J. CRAWFORD (buried 29 JUN 1890, aged 31 years), Daniel MARSHAL (buried 01 JAN 1896, aged 24 years), and Miss Frankie CRAWFORD (buried 28 JAN 1914, aged 72 years).
