Louis was the son of Peter Givogre and Katherina Nicolis. He was born in Fulizzo, Italy & emigrated to the United States around 1889. On October 17, 1900 he married Ada Fairchild in Butte, Silver Bow, Montana. Ada was the daughter of William W. & Nancy Fairchild. She was born on August 29, 1883 in Dunbar, Pennsylvania. They had eight children: Louisa in 1904, Ada 1908, Pete 1912, Victor 1916, twins Wilma & Wilmer in 1918 and Clifford in 1920. He was a merchant. Ada died on January 30, 1978 in Los Angeles, California.
