Louie was born in Italy, Province of Benevento, town of Cusano Mutri, to the late Altieri & Vittoria Maria (Iammartino) Creta.

He had 10 brothers & sisters; Annetta, Fernanda, Giovanni, the late Maria (Creta) Digoia, the late Rolando Creta, Maria Pina, Silvana, & Frank. He was predeceased by 3 brothers; 2 who died in infancy in Italy and his brother Rolando, and a sister Maria (Creta) DiGioia. His older brother John passed away 7 months after Lou passed over. Lou immigrated to America in the late 1950's with his mother and most of his brothers and sisters; to join his father and oldest brother and sister who immigrated here in the early 1950's. He resided in West Haven, Connecticut for most of his life, relocating to Charlotte, N.C.for a few years before moving back to Connecticut to rejoin his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter Tammy Liscio of Milford, CT., sons Christopher Creta, of West Haven, CT., and youngest son Mark Creta of West Haven, CT. He is also survived by sisters Annette Melchionna of Florida, Fernanda Arduini of Woodbridge, CT, sister Maria Pina Morytko of Florida, sister Silvana Creta of Wallingford, CT, and youngest brother Frank Creta of Seymour, CT. He left numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
