Antonette was born in Italy, Province of Benevento, town of Cusano Mutri, to the late Altieri & Vittoria Maria (Iammartino) Creta.

She had 10 brothers & sisters; Rolando, Fernanda (Frances), Giovanni (John), Marie, Luciano (Louie), Maria Pina, Sylvana, & Frank, including 2 brothers who died in infancy in Italy. She was predeceased by her brothers Rolando, John, Lou and a sister Marie. Sadly, she lost 2 of her brothers within the last 11 months of her life.

Antonette immigrated to America in the mid-1950's with her father and brother Rolando; later joined by her mother and younger siblings who joined them in the late 1950's. They resided in New Haven, Connecticut before moving to West Haven, Connecticut.

She married Joseph(Pino)Melchionna, and raised her daughter Dora and son Lino while residing in Derby, Connecticut for most of her life. In the late 1980's she and her husband Pino relocated to Bradenton, Florida where she resided for the remainder of her life.

She leaves her husband Joseph(Pino) of Bradenton, FL, her daughter Dora of CT, a son Lino of CT, and a grandson Adam Melchionna also of CT. She also survives her sisters, Fernanda Arduini of Woodbridge, CT, Pina Morytko of Ocala, FL, Sylvana Creta of Wallingford, CT and a brother Frank Creta of Ansonia, CT. She also has numerous nieces and nephews.

Antonette suffered greatly from the effects of severe arthritis the last years of her life. She is now free from pain and suffering, and is united in Christ with her brothers, sister and parents in God's loving grace.
