Abraham was a merchant & owned a boat to bring his his goods, that included slaves, which helped pay for the voyages. He was a slave owner.

Time not known, but he was given or bought from his brother in law , Capt. Cornelius Low a piece of property in Otsego County, NY then called the Great Lot 2. It is this piece of property that the Robert Bloomer & his sons Benjamin & Robert, Jr had rented & then bought in 1814.
