Gerald McManus
Gerald McManus, 51, of South Point, formerly of South Webster, was killed Friday during the collapse of the Pt. Pleasant Bridge. A native of Topeka, Kan., he was killed when the pickup truck he was driving crashed to the Ohio River bank when the bridge fell. McManus was employed as a construction foreman. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Eloise Martin McManus; a daughter, Karen, at home, and a sister, Mrs. Virginia Canary, 3240 Scioto Trail. Services are to be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Brock Funeral Home in Portsmouth. Interment is to be in South Webster Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p. m. Monday, and until the funeral hour Tuesday.
