On Jan. 14, 1847 at Hancock, NH, Alice m. Isaac Smith Allen, s. of Jacob Allen and Lydia Gallop, b. Jan. 29, 1819 at Cavendish, VT. He was living in 1887 when Alice provided from San Francisco a handwritten summary of her parental family for the genealogy of her maternal Tubbs family of NH.
Alice and her husband had the following two children:
• i. Isaac Patten Allen, b. Nov. 2, 1847 at Manchester, Mass., d. Feb. 19, 1925 at Alameda County, CA (g.s.); m. 1) June 3, 1869 at Hancock, NH, Elizabeth "Lizzie" Cram Fuller, dau. of Hiram Fuller and Laurilla H. Cram, b. Feb. 13, 1849 at Hancock, NH. She d. Aug. 11, 1920 at Alameda County, CA (g.s.) Three children of the marriage. Isaac m 2) prior to July 1922, Lydia Saunders, who was more than 25 years younger than Isaac. Her fate has not been traced.
• ii. Alice Caroline Allen, b. May 12, 1850 at Melrose, Mass., d. May 12, 1927 at Alameda, CA; m. Nov. 3, 1870 at San Francisco, William Roselli Townsend, who d. Apr. 13, 1929 at Santa Clara County, CA. There were no children of the marriage.
