Author. Between 1949 and 1988, Herbert Eatton Todd wrote forty books for children, twenty-four of which featured a schoolboy hero known as Bobby Brewster. He was also known as a raconteur, who visited many schools and, in 1969 and 1970, made several appearances on the B.B.C.'s children's television programme Jackanory, reading his tales of Brewster.
