Lucy Deprey, 87, Algoma, died Monday, Jan. 24, 2000, at Algoma Long Term Care. She was born March 18, 1912, in the Town of Union to the late Alfred and Desire (Graff) Gerondale. She married John H. Deprey on Nov. 28, 1928, at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church, Namur. He preceded her in death May 2, 1982. Lucy farmed with her husband in the Town of Lincoln until retirement. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Bill Soucek, Algoma; two grandchildren, Lori and Jeremy Paszczak, Algoma; Corey Soucek, Algoma; three great-grandchildren, Jordan UmberhamSoucek, Kalista and Matthew Paszczak; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Joseph and Delores Deprey, Casco; Helen Deprey, Luxemburg; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Gerondale; two sisters, Mamie Deprey and Palmy Le Greve; two half-brothers, Oscar and Gustav Gerondale; four half-sisters, Ursula Brans, Annie DuBois, Mary DuBois and Laura Gerondale.
