Frank Gerondale
Frank Gerondale, 88, formerly of 503 Karen Lane, died Thursday evening Nov. 1, 1990 at a local nursing home. Son of the late Fred and Desire Gerondale, Mr. Gerondale was born in Fairland (Namur) on Sept. 6, 1902. He married the former Libbie Tebon, Feb. 21, 1922 in the town of Duval. The couple farmed the homestead in Fairland and then moved to Brussels. In 1940 the couple moved to Green Bay where Mr. Gerondale was a mason contractor. He was also a commercial fisherman for many years. Mrs. Gerondale preceded him in death on March 13. 1985. He was a member of St. Matthew Church. He enjoyed their cottage in Athelstane, fishing and hunting. He was also an avid bowler. Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Elmer and Alice Gerondale, Three Lakes; Fred and Carol Gerondale, Suamico; Darrell' and Delia Gerondale, Cincinnati, Ohio; Harold and Joyce Gerondale, Brussels; one daughter and son-in-law, Esther and Norbert Jeanquart, Winter Haven, Fla.; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren: four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Mayme and Walter Deprey, Casco; Lucy Deprey, Lincoln; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Le Grave, and Laura Dubois, two stepbrothers, Gus and Oscar Gerondale, three stepsisters, Annie Dubois, Mary Dubois, Ursulla Brandts. Friends may call at Malcore Funeral Home, University at Baird St. from 3 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and prior to the funeral on Monday. Parish wake service 7 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Monday, 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Church with the Rev. Thomas Mayefske officiating. Entombment in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
