Philip Worst, died last evening, Dec. 3, at his home on Howard Street, Third Ward, of a complication of typhoid malaria and neuralgia of the heart. He had been sick for about five weeks, but had inly been confined to his bed for the past nine days. He was 60 years of age, born in Germany.
He came to America when he was 18, located first at Dunkirk, NY, and 15 years later came to Franklin, where he has resided the past 27 years. For about 12 years he was engaged in the brewing business, operating the brewery now owned by C. Brecht. He was honest , industrious, and kind-hearted, and had many friends here.
He is survived by his wife and two children, Miss Kate and Fred Worst.
