"Alvin Baker died Tuesday Feb. 14, 1995 at 9:30 at Lane Memorial Hosptial, Zachary. He was 79, a native of Bradley County, Ark., a former resident of Baker and a resident of Norwood. Visiting at Young Funeral Home, Inc. El Dorado, Ark, 6-9 pm. Religious services at Ebenezer Baptist Church, El Dorado at 10 am. conducted by Rev. Don Travis. Burial in Resthaven Cemetery, El Dorado. Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Nancy (Doyle W) Davis, Norwood, and Mrs. Vivian (Donald) Lemons, England, Ark.; two sons Donald Eugene Baker, Baker, and Jerry Wayne Baker, Jacksonville, Ark.; a sister Opal Lanier, Hermitage, Ark.; three brothers, Charlie Baker, Mena, Ark, Archie Baker, Petersburg, VA, and Hurley Baker, Banks, AR; 12 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ray Webb, Rod Mills, Frank Mauney, John Bolding, Joe Willett and J. C. Parks. He was a member of the International Union of Chemical Engineers."
