Edwin A. Hemb, 76, of New Holstein died Friday afternoon April 25, 2014 at Homestead Care Center New Holstein. He was born on May 29, 1937 in the Town of Meeme, son of the late Edwin & LaVerne (Sohn) Hemb. Ed was a graduate of Kiel High School. He was a longtime employee of Tecumseh Products New Holstein until his retirement.

Ed had a great love for the outdoors. He enjoyed deer hunting, trap shooting and wood working. He was an active member of the Kiel Fish and Game where he helped raise pheasant and shot trap, including going to the grand for over 20 years.

Ed was a generous man who enjoyed giving of his time to help others.

Survivors include a brother; Donald Hemb, a sister; Donna (Don) Bennin. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents and a brother; Ken.

According to Ed's wishes, private family services have been held. Burial has taken place at St. James Cemetery in Spring Valley.

Ed's family would like to express their sincere thanks to all the nurses and staff at Homestead Care Center for the care and compassion that Ed received.
